Rangers Crowned U13 AA Champions in Double OT Thriller

What a finish. What a team. What a season.

The U13 AA Rangers are officially CHAMPIONS after an unforgettable playoff run, capped off by a dramatic 3-2 double overtime win against Cumberland—a team that had challenged us all season long.

From the opening puck drop, it was clear both teams came to battle. It was a high-intensity, back-and-forth game showcasing the best of youth hockey. With just 18 seconds left in the third period, Cumberland tied the game to force overtime. But our Rangers didn’t flinch.

After pushing through the first overtime, our moment came in double OT. On a power play, Casen Kwan buried the game-winning goal off a rebound from Abdul Kaddoura, sealing the victory and sending the bench—and the crowd—into a frenzy.

This group of kids showed incredible grit, heart, and determination, finishing the playoffs with a 5-1 record and leaving everything on the ice in every game. From day one of the season, they’ve worked tirelessly, played relentlessly, and grown together as a team.

A huge thank you to our fantastic coaching staff, who guided and believed in these players every step of the way:

  • Head Coach – Andrew Klaassen

  • Assistant Coach – Andrew Major

  • Assistant Coach – Scott Allen

  • Assistant Coach – Shawn Benoit

  • Trainer – Al Kwan

This championship is a testament to the dedication of the players, coaches, and families who made this season unforgettable.

Congratulations to the U13 AA Rangers – CHAMPIONS! 🏆
