2024-2025 Rangers Hockey Program

The Gloucester Rangers hockey program is designed with a development first approach. All teams take part in on-ice development and off-ice training. All players selected for a Rangers hockey team agree to take part in all team activities - including the mandatory off-ice training.

Players who are rostered with a Rangers team should anticipate the following costs:

  • Registration Fees: These are paid to the Rangers via the team and cover the costs of the ice, referees, etc.
    • U9 - $1,600
    • U10 - $1,700
    • U11 - U14 - $1,850
    • U15-U18 - $1,900
  • Team Fees: These are paid directly to the team to cover the parent-approved budget. The team fees range from $1,200 to $2,000 depending on tournament schedules, off-ice development and other team costs.
  • On-Ice Equipment: Players are expected to adhere to the Rangers on-ice dress code which includes black gloves and helmet. Rangers socks, jersey and pant shells (*new for the 2023 season) are purchased by each individual player
    • Jersey - home $125 and away $125 = $250 (includes name bar)
    • Rangers Socks - home $25 and away $25 = $50
    • Rangers Pant Shell - $55
    • Total Rangers Equipment = $355
      • Returning players may use jerseys and socks from previous years if they are in good shape.

2024-2025 Registration Information:

This year the Gloucester Rangers will be running tryouts through Teamsnap. Players will receive communications through Teamsnap and the tryout schedule will be uploaded to the platform and revised throughout tryouts. Families are asked to check their Teamsnap profile regularly for the latest information.

Tryout costs and timelines are noted below. Each player is alloted a minimum of 3 hours of ice time for evaulations. Please note: this may be spread out over 1 hour, 1.5 hour or 2 hour ice times.

Please be sure to review before you begin the registration process.

Any questions about the tryout process should be directed to gorangershockey@gmail.com. Parents/players are asked to refrain from reaching out to the coaches directly.

Tryout Arrival Process:

Players are asked to arrive at the arena one hour in advance of their ice time and make their way to the Gloucester Rangers tryout desk to check-in.

Upon check-in at the first ice time, they will be given a numbered jersey and a pair of tryout socks. Players are expected to wear the dedicated tryout jersey and socks to each ice time.

All players and goalies MUST check in with the Gloucester Rangers desk before going to the locker rooms. Upon check-in they will receive their room assignments and any other information provided by the coach.

All players/goalies are asked to bring their own water bottle, pre-filled.

All tryout participants must ensure the proper paperwork is filled out prior to their first ice time - which includes registration with your home association.

Above all, our goal is to provide a safe environment for our players, coaches and volunteers. If your player must miss an ice time due to a health related issue, please notify your liaison in advance of the ice time. If your child does not turn up or decides to be absent from their tryout ice time, they will be deemed withdrawn from Gloucester Rangers tryouts process (unless they have a medical emergency or can provide a reason of their extenuating circumstances) which will then need to be cleared and approved by GRMHA President and VP Hockey Ops.

Each player is alloted a minimum of 3 hours of ice time for evaulations. Please note: this may be spread out over 1 hour, 1.5 hour or 2 hour ice times.

If you have questions during tryouts, please connect directly with your liaison through Teamsnap. General questions may be forwarded to gorangershockey@gmail.com.
