RISK AND SAFETY
POLICE RECORD CHECKS
Step 1: Please download the pre-signed volunteer letter template - PRC Volunteer Letter.
- Fill in your full name, full address, telephone number and date of birth.
- Sign and date the letter.
- You will need to include the completed letter in your PRC application to your local police force. You do not need to provide a copy of the letter to the Rangers.
Step 2: Apply Online for the Ottawa Police - Level 3 – Vulnerable Sector Check - click here. For anyone residing outside the City of Ottawa, please click here.
Please be sure to request your results back via email for faster delivery. When you receive the completed PRC via email please DO NOT change the name of the file or extension as it may delete the information and you will be required to resubmit your application.
Step 3: Send the completed and signed document that you receive back from the Ottawa Police to vpadmin@gloucesterrangers.com so it can be added to your Hockey Canada profile.
*Note: When applying online, ensure that you apply for Level 3 Vulnerable Sector Check
If you are asked to go in for fingerprints (it will be noted on your report with instructions on next steps) you will need to bring a paper copy of that email along with a paper copy of your Gloucester Rangers Volunteer letter to the Ottawa Police.
Please be advised, the Gloucester Rangers DO NOT reimburse the $20.00 service fee.
