These youngest Rangers worked hard in their first full-ice tournament and triumphed over the North Bay Trappers 3-1 in the action-packed final game. The Trappers had defeated the Rangers 4-3 in the round-robin, but U9 Gold fought back in the championship game, scoring a short-handed goal in the third period to bring home the gold medals.
