The U12AA Rangers took home the gold medal at the 2022 Capital Gold Rush tournament on the weekend of Sep 30-Oct 2nd. The team went undefeated in round robin play. A 3-2 victory in the semi-final over the Cumberland Grads put them through to the final.

In the championship final, the team met the Kanata Blazers. They were up for the challenge as they had faced the Blazers in round robin and got a 4-2 victory. The Rangers battled hard and with some late game scoring – took home the championship trophy with a 3-1 win.
