Celebrating Our Volunteers: GRMHA Appreciation Night 2025

On June 10, 2025, the Gloucester Rangers community came together at Metcalfe Golf Club for a special evening of connection, gratitude, and celebration. Our Volunteer Appreciation Night is one of the most meaningful events of the year because Rangers hockey doesn’t happen without volunteers.
From early morning practices to last-minute schedule changes, carpool coordination to team-building events, jersey folding to conflict resolution, our volunteers make every season possible.
Whether you gave five hours or fifty, organized a tournament, or helped tie skates in the hallway, your time mattered. Your contribution helped a child play the game they love, and for that, we thank you.
Honouring the Heart of Our Community
We also took time to recognize a few individuals whose contributions this season stood out:
Coach of the Year
John Bower (U11A Head Coach) and Andy Klaassen (U13AA Head Coach)
John and Andy led their teams with a perfect mix of structure, motivation, and heart. Both coaches guided their teams to championship wins but, more importantly, created environments that emphasized player development, positivity, and team culture. Their impact was felt on the ice and far beyond.
Volunteer of the Year
Tatum Uchman, Team Manager – U11AA
Tatum’s organization, compassion, and behind-the-scenes brilliance made this season unforgettable for players and families. From game sheets to holiday giving initiatives to end-of-season keepsakes, she gave her all — and then some.
President’s Award
Caitlin Anstee, VP Administration
Caitlin is the quiet force that keeps the association running smoothly year after year. Her tireless work behind the scenes — from registrations and communications to policy and planning — is foundational to the success of our program. Quite simply, we couldn’t do it without her.
