Rangers Minor Peewee A Win Bell Capital Cup

The Gloucester Rangers Minor Peewee A team showed off their talent at the 2019 Bell Capital Cup. The Rangers were 3-1 in the round robin. The first of the round robin games was against the Kanata Blazers and ended with a score of 4-1 for the Rangers. Next up was a game against the Ashburn Xtreme. This team proved to be more of a challenge for our Rangers and ended in a 3-4 loss. The following day the Rangers faced off against the China Hunters, and won big with the final score 4-0.  The final game of the round robin was a nail-biter against the Nepean Raiders and ended with the Rangers winning 3-2. The semi-final was a repeat of the previous night’s game with the Rangers winning 2-1 over the Nepean Raiders.  Heading to the finals at the Canadian Tire Centre, the Rangers were up against the only team they lost to in the round robin, the Ashburn Xtreme.

The BCC Finals started strong for the Rangers, scoring within 45 seconds of the initial puck drop. The Xtreme answered back and scored back-to-back goals in the first period.

The Rangers rallied back and put the puck in the net four more times before the game was over, leaving as the Gold Medal Finalists on a score of 6-2.

Well done Rangers!
