Gloucester Rangers Minor Hockey

What a Beginning !!!!

The Gloucester Rangers Minor Pee Wee AA team won the championship of the 5th Annual Kanata Minor Hockey Association September AAA Shootout Tournament on Sunday September 9th, 2007 against the Toronto Titans by a score of 4-1.
The Rangers defeated their cross-town rivals, Nepean Raiders, 2-1 in the semi-final game, allowing them to enter the championship game with a 2-1-1 record.
In the championship game, the Rangers team took an early lead against the Titans in the first period and then added a couple of goals during the next two periods by capitalizing on power-play opportunities.
The championship marked the second year in a row that this crop of players won at this tournament.  Last, while playing for their Major Atom AA Gloucester Rangers team, they had also won the championship.
By the time the regular season begins in early October, the Rangers will have played in two tournaments in addition to several pre-season games.  Head coach, Guy Bourque, promises an exciting and fast-paced season for his team and is genuinely enthusiastic with regard to his team's likelihood of success. A strong beginning, yet again, for a talented group of players.
