Bantam AA Win it all in Mississauga
Another tournament championship for the Bantam AA team!
This time it was the Paul Coffey Tournament hosted by the
Mississauga Jets on December 27-30. The boys swept through
the initial four games with winning scores of 7-0, 3-1, 15-1
and 7-1 which led them to the semi-finals. The opponents in
the semi-final game held the leading score up to the last
33 seconds of the game when the Rangers tied it up and then
won the game in the first 12 seconds of overtime. The boys
went on to the final game against the Humberview Huskies and
stole the show with a 3-0 win. Coach Sean was not surprised
with the outcome of this tournament because of the boys’ hard
work, top conditioning level and commitment to team defense.
Sean described their performance in the tournament as top
notch with 39 goals for and only 6 goals against to win the
Championship. Well done boys!
January is upon us and for the Bantam AA there will many
more challenges with 9 league games left and one or possibly
two more tournaments to play or should I say win.
